The Harrogate Flower Show is run and organised by the gardening charity, North of England Horticultural Society (NEHS) that has over a 100 years of experience promoting gardening in the north of the UK.

The Harrogate Flower Show is an event that takes place twice a year and both are considered one of the most prestigious gardening events of the year.

The first event will be in the Spring (April) that will give gardeners a great opportunity to help get the garden ready for the year. The sister event will be in the autumn (September). Both events will see around 100`s of many of the leading gardeners and plant nurseries.

Approved Trader also gives you the category of Pocket Gardens giving opportunities for amateur gardeners who will be able to showcase their gardens to the 100,000 visitors who will come to the events.

As well as the garden exhibitors and displays, the show will also be able to give its visitors lots of shows at the show with many gardening groups show casing their skills and for the visitors to get inspiration.

NEHS grant scheme

The event will generate profits from the charity that will enable the charity to continue to promote horticulture throughout the North of England. During 2012 the NEHS launched a scheme giving grants to the community giving funding to many horticulture projects. Yearly around 40 gardening groups receive grants of up to £2000 to give financial support to a wide range of projects throughout the North.

The show will host lots of other excellent attractions with lots of highlights including Great garden shopping with many garden retailers offering lots of different plants, garden features and furniture amongst many other things.

Europe by flower power - Throughout Europe you will see a whole range of plants, flowers, shrubs and bushes, the display Europe Flower Power will allow you to browse some of the great examples of plants available from around Europe.

Kitchen Garden Live - See how home growing can bring the amazing flavours from your outside garden into your kitchen.

Fun for young gardeners -The NEHS is always looking to encourage the British youth to engagement in your garden, see displays from the youths and information on gardening activities for Children that will run throughout the summer around the North of England.

A feast of food - Visit the food marquee and view the plot to pot exhibition and lots of inspiration bringing delight to your taste buds.
