Life as a mum is a hugely rewarding process, but this doesn’t mean it doesn’t come along with challenges. We need to use all the weapons in our arsenal to give our children a great upbringing while maintaining our own lives and relationships, a conservatory can be unlikely ally and a great tool for mums.
For both children and adults alike, a conservatory can be a transition area between the inside and out, it can serve as a place to encourage your kids out of the house and off their games consoles into the garden. Getting your kids outside is helpful for their development, it allows them a bit of independence, helps encourage social interactions with other children and is useful for getting your children to exercise.
Once they want to come back in to the home the conservatory can help out here too. How many times have we had to get out the carpet cleaner after the kids have been out playing and have run a load of dirt through the house off their shoes or they have come in ringing wet and need to be dried out? Continuing along the easy clean theme, as parents we are always looking for play space for our children, a conservatory can be a great place to set up the kids and their friends to play amongst each other without the fear of them messing up the house. The tiled, laminate or real wooden floors are easier to clean and hence can be a great place for arts and crafts, removing paint, crayons, glue and papier-mâché is much easier on these kinds of surfaces over your carpet or wallpaper.
The large floor areas found in the conservatory can also be a great place to set up larger toys and spread out, many of us have struggled to find room to set up a scalextric or the huge fort set that they got for Christmas, well the conservatory can be your answer, allowing you some time to chill out or watch some tv while the kids play til their hearts content.
If you have small children and are looking for a little chillout space for your little one, then the conservatory is there for you again, they can be a great place for a little timeout or nap time, especially if the weather is nice.
